Riley Etheridge is the Managing Director for the Metropolitan Region of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch. He began his career as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. During his twenty-five years in the industry, he has developed a passion for advancing the professionalism of the financial services industry, and has earned several professional designations, including; Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Financial Advisor (CFA), and the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). Riley has been published in the Journal of Financial Planning and in 1999 Worth Magazine named him one of America’s top 250 Financial Advisors.


Riley moved to Northern California in the late 90’s, and his love for the High Sierra and children led him to develop a California program for the national organization, Big City Mountaineers (BCM), which leads eight-day wilderness trips for inner-city teens. He served as the President of the Board of Directors for BCM from 2003-2005, and continues to serve on the advisory board. He spends his leisure time Nordic skiing and hiking, cycling, and also enjoys landscape photography.


Riley is member #1659 of 1% for the Planet as a musician and is releasing his new album, “Things I used to Know” in January 2010.
