The job

1% for the Planet is searching for an intern for our Environmental Partners team. The Environmental Partners Intern position will run through the Spring 2024 semester with the potential for extension through the summer.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, independent, an excellent communicator, and passionate about the environment. The right student for this opportunity is a team player, an efficient and effective worker, and shows strong initiative to take on any task as it presents itself.             

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the work of reviewing and processing environmental partnership assessments for organizations seeking to join the 1% for the Planet Environmental Partners Network.
  • Ensure high-quality records management, perform routine data auditing, and maintain accurate databases.
  • Assist in updating and supporting processes that connect 1% for the Planet business members with approved Environmental Partners. 
  • Conduct research to assist in the development of eligibility requirements to support the growing Environmental Partners network.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to translate research requests into actionable items and transform results into clear deliverables
  • Passion for the nonprofit sector, corporate philanthropy, strategic partnerships, and creating environmental impact 
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple systems, including Google Suite, Monday, Salesforce, and Hubspot
  • Experience working with and managing data
  • Ability to initiate and complete tasks and projects with independently
