Member Logo Use
1% for the Planet strongly advises against any use or adaptation of our logos and trademarks outside the explicit parameters outlined in these Brand Guidelines.
Deviating from these standard specifications may expose your organization to regulatory scrutiny under applicable consumer protection and green claims laws, and 1% for the Planet disclaims liability for non-compliant trademark usage.
Member logo use
Selecting the right logo
Use this guide to choose the logo that suits your certification status, membership level, marketing/selling region, or specific designation (e.g., France-based members, Impact Partners).
Below, you will also find guidance on EU compliance, including new logos that meet ECGT-Directive Standards. Please note that you may use these certified logos only after completing one full fiscal year of certification. New members can review specific onboarding guidance below.
Are you a new member who hasn’t completed certification yet?

Prior to completing your first certification, you may use our primary brand logos on your website and social media to communicate affiliation and commitment. However, note that the primary logo must be accompanied by an explanation of your status within the same field of vision as the primary logo.
e.g., “We have committed to give back 1% of our annual sales to vetted and approved impact partners. Our first certification will take place after our current fiscal year ends, [Fall 2027].”
Wait to add our 1% for the Planet certified business or product logo to your products, packaging and marketing materials until after your first certification. This is essential for ECGT compliance.
Are you a whole company or brand-level certified BUSINESS MEMBER looking for the most comprehensive logo?

Any certified member in our global network may use this new comprehensive, compliant logo.
All whole-company and brand-level certified members selling or marketing to EU consumers must use this logo.
Use this ECGT Directive-compliant logo on your products, packaging and marketing materials to ensure your 1% for the Planet claims meet current EU transparency standards.
ARE YOU A 1% FOR THE PLANET PRODUCT LINE MEMBER?

All certified product line members must use this logo.
ARE YOU A 1% FOR THE PLANET FRANCE MEMBER?

Les entreprises membres en France de 1% for the Planet peuvent utiliser les versions en anglais ou en français des logos “Certified Business” et “Certified Product”. Merci de vous référer aux consignes d’usage pour chacun.
DO YOU WANT TO USE THE 1% FOR THE PLANET BRAND PRIMARY LOGO?

The primary logo is still available for use by members who DO NOT SELL OR MARKET to consumers in the EU.
If you’re a 1% for the Planet member based in the EU, see logos above. If you need to use this version of our logo for any reason, it is our understanding that members can continue to use the primary logo on their website and social media so long as it is accompanied by written context that sufficiently explains their status in the network.
For example, when referring to 1% for the Planet, the organization and global movement, or when explaining their 1% for the Planet membership and what the 1% commitment entails.
Are you a 1% for the Planet impact partner?

1% for the Planet Impact Partners should use this logo to demonstrate to both members and consumers that they are eligible donation recipients. This logo should NOT be used by 1% for the Planet Members in any capacity.
