Americares

Environmental Partner

In our ongoing response to the devastating LA wildfires, Americares has provided 7 tons of medicine and relief supplies, delivered more than 12,000 masks, provided $260,000 in emergency funding and partnered with Primo Brands to deliver five truckloads of water to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank for distribution to area residents. We have also provided $600,000 in emergency cash assistance to partner clinics in California for low-income wildfire survivors who have lost homes, jobs or transportation. This work will persist and soon transition into long-term recovery programming focused around mental health and psychosocial support.

  • Eligible Organization: Organizations that are eligible for certified giving, but do not have full benefits of an in-network partnership, such as co-branding. Members are not permitted to communicate their support of eligible organizations under the premise of their 1% for the Planet membership, but are free to do so outside the context of 1% for the Planet.
