The Fondation de France will prioritize the work of associations currently assisting populations affected by the fires and the heat waves, as well as support for frontline workers (healthcare professionals and firefighters, in particular). It will then focus on supporting the recovery of the most affected populations (vulnerable groups, small farmers, artisans, socio-cultural organizations, etc.). Finally, it will aim to strengthen its efforts to prevent risks related to climate change. We will monitor and oversee the projects we support, as we do for every emergency we respond to.
The Fondation du patrimoine is mobilizing to help safeguard French forests and respond to citizens wishing to take concrete action for this natural heritage, which is vital to ecosystem health. The priority is to bring fires under control and ensure the safety of local communities, followed by coordinating efforts with local stakeholders to support the restoration of damaged natural habitats and landscapes across the region.
Fundación Desert Leaves responds to the wildfire emergency through our ecosystem restoration projects active across Valencia, Castellón, and Ibiza — regions repeatedly hit by wildfires. We restore degraded and burned land by replanting native, fire-resilient species, rebuilding soil and water retention capacity, and working with local communities to strengthen landscape resilience against future fires. We report our results and methodology to institutional partners like the European Forest Institute, and share our findings publicly to support wider wildfire-recovery efforts across the Mediterranean.

In the face of wildfire devastation, Quercus remains on the front lines to immediately mitigate the impact on forests and wildlife, mobilizing technical and human resources to directly support affected communities and ecosystems. Through dedicated teams from the Criar Bosques, Floresta Comum, and Refloresta projects, the organization provides specialized technicians on the ground. Their focus is to assess damages, advise landowners, and supply the necessary tools to stabilize the soil and prepare for the future regeneration of burned areas, fostering a more resilient and biodiverse forest.
Veterinarians across Quercus's three Wildlife Rehabilitation Centers have mobilized to deliver urgent care—rescuing and treating animals injured, burned, or weakened by the fires, with the ultimate goal of returning every survivor to its natural habitat as soon as possible. In this emergency response, Quercus bridges land recovery with wildlife rescue, working hand in hand with local communities to restore hope to the landscape.

Thanks to your support, we can send reinforcements to our volunteers on the ground and acquire additional equipment to better care for the victims. Currently, 300 volunteers are carrying out missions to support affected communities. This has involved evacuating 12 care homes, caring for 500 vulnerable people, and setting up 7 emergency shelters.
