Nonprofit partners

The 1% for the Planet model comes to life through the partnerships that form between our members and nonprofit partners. Our business and individual members engage directly with approved nonprofit partners, providing monetary donations, volunteer time, in-kind donations and other forms of approved promotional support. Thriving partnerships deliver longer-term support and greater impact for everyone involved.

Our environmental nonprofit partners work to advocate, conserve, steward, educate and activate to create a healthy, vibrant future for our planet. We are committed to building support for the essential work being done by our nonprofit partners within our six core issue areas: climate, food, land, pollution, water, and wildlife.

1% for the Planet approved nonprofit partners are carefully vetted environmental organizations that are eligible to receive funding from our members. Our nonprofit network is always evolving and our team works hard to bring on new, vetted nonprofits that meet certain criteria and drive real, measurable environmental outcomes. To date, we have worked with thousands of vetted environmental nonprofit partners in over 60 countries in our network.

Become an approved nonprofit partner

At this time, only those nonprofit organizations who have been recommended by a current business or individual member are eligible to join the 1% for the Planet network. If your organization has been recommended, you will receive an email from 1% for the Planet containing a personalized nonprofit application link. Please do not complete our public business application as a nonprofit organization.

Please note: Being a part of our nonprofit partner network does not guarantee funding, but it does put organizations on a list of approved nonprofits that our members consider directly supporting.
