Find answers about the Advocate Program and what it means to join our network.
The short answer is: any individual or organization that is eager to help grow our network. You do not have to be a business member or certified nonprofit to be eligible. Once you have signed the program agreement and achieved one of our tiers for membership, you are eligible!
You can start by filling out our Advocate join form. Once you submit your information, you will be directed to sign our program agreement. At that point, you will need to achieve one of our tiers via referrals or a cash donation to 1% for the Planet. Tiers need to be achieved on an annual basis to maintain benefits.
A business referral must meet the following criteria:
- A qualified business that would be eligible for our member network.
- A minimum annual revenue of $1,000,000 USD
- The referral must have a meeting with the 1% for the Planet team.
- The referral must be submitted via our Referral Form.
Any referral submitted via our referral form on or after January 1, 2026 is eligible to count towards the Advocate program.
No, Advocate status is based on the date you achieve a tier. Your tier status lasts for 12 months from the date you earn it. For example, if you reach Tier 2 on June 15th, you'll enjoy Tier 2 benefits until June 15th of the following year. You can always move up to a higher tier, and that new tier will last for its own 12-month period.
