Celebrating 25 Years of  Environmental Action Through Collective Giving

1% for the Planet is partnering with Content With Purpose (CWP) to produce 1% for the  Planet: Stories of Impact, a landmark digital series celebrating 25 years of environmental action through collective giving. 

Since its founding, 1% for the Planet has grown into a global movement of more than 4,000 Members and 7,000 Environmental Partners across 114 countries, demonstrating how small commitments can create extraordinary change. 

Built on accountability, verified impact and collective action, 1% for the Planet mobilizes businesses to commit 1% of annual sales to on-the-ground environmental solutions. We certify this giving to vetted environmental nonprofit partners, ensuring contributions support meaningful impact across four key areas: Rights to Nature, Conservation and Restoration, Resilient Communities, and Just Economies.

Stories of Impact will bring these partnerships to life, capturing the human stories,  motivations, and values that make this movement so powerful. Through short-form  documentaries, expert interviews, and case studies filmed around the world, the series will highlight companies that have made giving back a core part of their culture and business model, and the Environmental Partners delivering impact on the ground, from restoring coral reefs and protecting forests, to empowering communities and defending the right to a healthy environment. 

The series will explore how purpose‑driven business is shaping the future, showing that environmental giving is both a commitment to the planet and a pathway to innovation, stronger communities, and change at scale. Stories of Impact will highlight how joining 1% for the Planet strengthens reputation, resilience, and collective progress.

Stories of Impact will celebrate the people and organizations driving this movement forward and inspire even more  businesses to take action so that our planet and future generations can thrive.”

The series will preview at Climate Week NYC in September 2026, ahead of its official launch in January 2027 to coincide with 1% for the Planet’s 25th anniversary. A four‑month global digital campaign will run from January to April 2027, culminating in a dedicated screening at the 1% for the Planet Global Summit in Amsterdam. The campaign will engage policymakers,  businesses, NGOs, academia, environmental groups, and the public to inspire collective action and amplify the impact of purpose‑driven giving. 

At its heart, Stories of Impact is a tribute to connection: between business and nature,  commerce and community, people and purpose. It shows how a simple commitment can grow into a global force for good, inspiring audiences to help shape a future where business and nature thrive together.
