San Diego
On the tail end of Expo West and Business for Good Summit, we gathered at Pure Project North Park, a space that embodies the intersection of sustainable business and community. Building off the momentum from the week's events, we hosted a powerhouse panel featuring Mia Helminiak of Nomadix, Randi Christiansen of Nécessaire and Erika Rodriguez of Nadi Marketing. The discussion centered on how brands can maintain integrity while scaling and the importance of regional advocacy.
We were glad to be joined by local environmental leaders from WILDCOAST, Coastal Farms and Outdoor Outreach, along with representatives from San Diego Climate Week, who shared information about their regional impact.

To kick off Sydney Climate Action Week, our community met at Pablo & Rusty’s CBD Cafe for an evening of caffeine-fueled inspiration and connection. We heard from a diverse group of Australian leaders representing Optimising, Leif Products, 4Pines, OzHarvest and our hosts at Pablo & Rusty’s. The dialogue focused on the unique role of the Australian business community in driving global environmental solutions.
We were proud to highlight the critical work of environmental partners WIRES and OzHarvest, showcasing the tangible impact of 1% for the Planet giving within the region.

We gathered at Protein Studios during Blue Earth Forum, finding refuge from the London heat wave with ice-cold drinks courtesy of Bar Buoy. Our panel featured Gideon Bright from Dryrobe, Nina Davies from Natracare and Phil Hails-Smith from Joelson, who were joined by Kate Williams for a diverse discussion across industries. We also got to hang out with our impact partners POW and EOCA, who shared about their work with attendees. Everyone left with a stylish Beechfield tote bag and a Nécessaire body kit.

Seattle
They say 24 hours in Seattle is enough to catch a vibe, but a single evening with our Pacific Northwest community was all we needed to supercharge our collective momentum. Our latest Seattle: Sessions event at the top of PNW Climate Week was a powerful reminder of what happens when business leaders align their missions with the planet.
Gathering at Patagonia Seattle with Icicle Brewing cans in hand, the night was bookended by two distinct but equally powerful moments: one member arriving with a massive hug, sharing that coming to these events feels like a family reunion, and another pulling us aside on his way out to reiterate a simple truth: being part of this movement is straight-up good for business.
That is the sweet spot we love to see. Deep, authentic human connection driven by a commitment that delivers real-world business outcomes.
The highlight of the night was a panel discussion featuring a true PNW powerhouse trio: Shanon Tysland of Experience Momentum, Michelle Mayther of Purpose & Profit and Elijah Wilgis of HEST. With a combined twenty-four years of 1% for the Planet membership between them, they spoke on keeping their teams engaged, learning on the fly and why integrating giving into their business models is no longer optional.
Shanon captured the sentiment of the room perfectly,"If we can't do 1%, we don't deserve to be in business."
The inspiration didn't stop when the panel ended. As the evening wrapped up, the community took the reins and the room quickly turned into an open forum planning how the Seattle and broader PNW community can gather more frequently. Within minutes, phone numbers were being swapped, coffee dates were being scheduled and a localized roadmap was taking shape.
