In a year that asked more of all of us, our network answered—remaining steadfast in its commitment and achieving record levels of certified member giving.
A record year of impact
2025 was the biggest year of annual certified impact in 1% for the Planet’s history. Because of our committed members, we certified $156 million in member contributions last year alone. That brings our total lifetime certified impact to $846 million—meaning we’re closer than ever to our $1 billion goal.
Real-world results of our work
It can be hard to conceptualize what these numbers actually look like in real life. You might ask, “How does the 1% for the Planet commitment actually help people and the planet?” Well, our 2025 Annual Report can answer that question … and here’s a taste:
Billion Oyster Project, a 1% for the Planet Environmental Partner, used $140,063 in certified member donations last year to restore more than 1.4 million oysters to New York Harbor. These efforts rebuilt a virtual marine ecosystem that New York (and surrounding states) rely on for economic and environmental resilience.
In Liverpool, Farm Urban provided 43,223 portions of freshly grown leafy greens to people experiencing food poverty. This was made possible by donations from the 1% for the Planet network.
Partnerships and event highlights
The events we held and the partnerships we forged were a huge part of what made 2025 special. We expanded our Sessions program by opening events to the public, inviting broader local communities into our network and deepening opportunities for learning and collaboration. At the end of the year, we showed up in 6 cities and welcomed 554 total attendees around the globe.
We also set out to strengthen our collective action across industries and geographies with key partnerships. From joining the European Outdoor Group and The Conservation Alliance’s Brand for Public Lands coalition to partnering with Blue Earth, 2025 was a momentum-building year as we expanded into new markets and modes of engagement.
